Question 1

The administration is pushing AI into schools, weakening regulatory safeguards, seeking to override state protections, and deploying Grok within the Pentagon. Meanwhile, AI systems have produced sexualized images, spread dangerous misinformation, exposed children to explicit content, and given them instructions involving weapons and self-harm. Will you demand enforceable regulation and safety standards before allowing AI integration in our schools, or are our children being used as test subjects for an inadequately regulated industry?

Response received? Yes. On July 20, 2026 one (1) Congressman responded. They wrote, “Thank you for contacting me regarding artificial intelligence. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views on this issue. Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly common in everyday life, with its use expanding across industries such as healthcare, finance and education. In (YOUR STATE), several laws address the use of AI. These include the (SPECIFIC STATE LEGISLATIVE BILL), which restricts health insurers from using AI as the sole basis for denying medical claims, and the (SPECIFIC STATE LEGISLATIVE BILL), which strengthens protections for minors online, including safeguards related to AI-generated content and requirements for parental consent on certain platforms. During my time in Congress, I have introduced and supported legislation to promote responsible AI usage, including the Preventing Deep Fake Scams Act, a bill which would form a task force to examine AI’s benefits and risks in the financial services sector. In 2024, I was also appointed to the House Bipartisan AI Working Group which explored AI’s impact on financial services. As artificial intelligence continues to become more commonplace, we must balance protecting Americans and ensuring the United States can remain a global leader in innovation. As you know, artificial intelligence (AI) is an unprecedented and rapidly developing technology that can present both exciting promise and potentially terrible consequences. While we continue to learn more about both the risks associated with AI, Congress must remain diligent in its effort to form new rules if needed to impose a strictly defined scope for the development of the technology. Most importantly, these parameters must prevent infringement of individual rights and personal privacy and keep the safety of American citizens as its highest priority while also allowing American innovation and competition to prosper. As this new form of sophisticated software continues to develop, we must determine how best to accept and implement AI into our society while balancing American interests and the threat AI poses from our adversaries. Your perspective adds important context to these critical ongoing discussions. My primary mission as your United States Senator is to make government work with proven (STATE RESIDENTS) solutions that are ready for America. After years of shifting positions on TikTok, President Trump personally helped broker a deal involving Oracle and other politically connected investors, and the administration is reportedly collecting up to $10 billion in transaction fees. What legal authority permits the White House to charge such a fee, where will that money go, and will you demand full disclosure to ensure that presidential power is not used to benefit political allies?
