2025-07-31 Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent clarified that “Trump Baby Accounts” were intended to supplement, not replace, Social Security. However, reports also indicated he previously referred to them as a “back door for privatizing Social Security”.

2025-12-02 Reports described “Trump Accounts” funded in part by major private donations (i.e. Michael and Susan Dell donated $6.25B) and designed to provide investment accounts for children born on certain years and within certain zip codes.
