President Trump has threatened arrest for masked protesters, called campus demonstrations “illegal,” and threatened schools with lost funding, arrests, expulsions, and deportations. Stephen Miller has characterized opposition to immigration enforcement as insurrection, while Tennessee passed a “Charlie Kirk Act” imposing new restrictions on campus protests and walkouts. Will you oppose efforts to criminalize peaceful dissent and use federal power to intimidate Americans exercising their First Amendment rights?

Trump has threatened journalists with imprisonment, pressured networks to fire people and cancel shows, and has placed allies in control. The Pentagon has barred reporters from offices and demanded they accept restrictions on gathering information. Now the DOJ wants phone records on journalists and their families. How is this different from the press intimidation seen in Hungary or Russia, and what will you do to stop it?
