2025-07-25 While visiting Scotland, Trump again criticized wind turbines, claiming they spoiled the view from his golf course and urging leaders to stop building them, “Stop the windmills, you’re ruining your countries. I really mean it”. Trump sued the Scottish government in 2012 over offshore wind turbines and lost in 2015.
2025-07-27 During a meeting with the President of the European Commission, Trump complained about windmills, calling them a “very ugly energy” and asserting “wind is the most expensive form of energy, and it destroys the beauty of your fields and your plains and your waterways”.
