SAMPLE LETTER
Dear Member of Congress,
I am writing to express my outrage over the Trump administration’s continuing pattern of cruelty, corruption, self-promotion, reckless rhetoric, and contempt for democratic norms.
At a time when Americans are struggling with healthcare costs, food insecurity, disasters, war, and economic instability, the administration has too often responded with political stunts, dehumanizing propaganda, personal insults, threats against critics, extravagant vanity projects, and the misuse of public institutions for partisan purposes. The conduct described across recent events—including attacks on journalists, politicized federal messaging, disregard for oversight, glorification of violence, and apparent retaliation against opponents—has damaged public trust and diminished the dignity of the presidency.
Congress must not normalize this behavior. I urge you to defend constitutional limits, investigate abuses of power and public funds, protect inspectors general and whistleblowers, enforce ethics laws, and demand professional conduct from every public official.
The American people deserve leadership focused on service, competence, compassion, and the rule of law—not spectacle, intimidation, personal enrichment, and political revenge.

2021-01-06 When insurrectionists demolished the capitol some relieved themselves on desks like animals while others brutally attacked law enforcement officers. One officer died of a stroke 7 hours later. Multiple lawsuits were filed for damages and bodily harm, but Trump refunded penalties to the insurrectionists and attempted to build a slush fund in 2026 for them to receive payouts.

2022-08-19 Amber Thurman died after delayed abortion-related care under restrictive state laws. Trump later dismissed questions about the case during a Fox forum. Amber passed away from preventable septic shock and retained products of conception following a medication abortion, with delays in receiving necessary medical care contributing to her death. The care was delayed because when she showed up at Piedmont Henry Hospital for a routine D&C to remove fetal tissue from her body that hadn’t been expelled, she was denied immediate treatment because her State had made performing the procedure a felony. Doctors would have been prosecuted for up to a decade in prison. She waited 20 hours in a hospital bed while providers monitored her blood pressure sinking and organ failure before they operated, but by then it was too late. During a forum with Fox News on women’s issues, Trump was asked, ”…Amber Thurman’s family have come out on a press call and they’re doing what’s called a prebuttal to our town hall right now…” to which Trump replied ”…Oh that’s nice. We’ll get better ratings, I promise.”*

Members who were left in USAID reached out to the Trump administration to ask for release of food stocks intended to feed 30,000+ starving children. The administration ignored the requests for weeks, allowed the food stock to expire, then announced it would incinerate the food. It was roughly 500 metric tons of food they allowed to spoil then incinerated, rather than feed hungry children.

2026-01-12 Leavitt defended ICE after the Renee Nicole Good murder, “This administration will continue to stand wholeheartedly by the brave men and women of ICE, including that officer in Minneapolis who was absolutely justified in using self-defense against a lunatic who was part of a group – an organized group – to interject and to impede on law enforcement operations.
2026-01-14 Trump flipped off an autoworker during a Ford plant visit.
2026-01-15 Karoline Leavitt berated reporters as “left-wing hacks” during a White House briefing, “Oh, okay. So you’re a biased reporter with a left-wing opinion. Also at the World Economic Forum, Trump stated, “but sometimes you need a dictator”.
2026-01-22 ICE arrested civil rights attorney Nekima Levy Armstrong during a protest in St. Paul Minnesota. The White House then doctored and digitally altered a photo of her arrest to make it appear as though she was crying.
2026-01-23 Just one hour after agents executed Alex Pretti, Pam Bondi sent a letter to Tim Walz stating the Trump administration would remove ICE from the State if Minnesota met demands to hand over voter files, SNAP data, and repealed its sanctuary policy.
