Republican and MAGA figures have repeatedly promoted watchlists and public-identification campaigns against political opponents, from Turning Point’s Professor Watchlist to calls to contact the employers of people over their political speech, while DHS has relied on Canary Mission profiles to target activists. Will you publicly condemn doxxing and political intimidation by members of your own party, and what concrete action will you take to prevent these campaigns from leading to harassment or violence?

Response received? Yes. On July 20, 2026 one (1) Senator responded. They did not answer the question directly or respond to any part of the question. Instead they offered a response about election integrity and illegal voting. They wrote, “Thank you for contacting my office regarding election integrity and security. The United States was created to operate for the people and by the people. Protecting our elections is essential for the well-being of our society. Doing so through proper identification, proof of United States citizenship, and voter registration are tools we use to demonstrate that Americans are able to participate civically. Only United States citizens can vote in elections, and that is the way it needs to remain. This will ensure that we are electing government officials responsibly. I have always been a strong proponent for election security. During the Biden administration, there were several concerning reports indicating many non-citizens appearing on voter rolls. When I was governor, I signed voter identification requirements for elections in (STATE). In 2024, my colleagues and I pushed for the Biden-era Department of Justice to provide information on its efforts to promote public trust and confidence in our elections. Senate Republicans continue to support efforts to protect our elections. This Congress, I cosponsored the SAVE America Act requiring United States citizens to provide documentation of their citizenship upon registering to vote and voting in federal elections. This commonsense legislation will protect our nation’s federal elections. I also cosponsored the Equal Representation Act and a bill to require Washington D.C. to exclude non-citizens from voting. As you may know, each state’s number of congressional seats and Electoral College votes is determined by how many people live in that state. Currently, illegal aliens are a part of the calculus for Electoral College votes. This current policy rewards sanctuary cities and sanctuary states with outsized population because it’s counting people who came here illegally. Those people broke the law and must not be counted for representation. The Equal Representation Act adds a question to the census so noncitizens are excluded from congressional representation. This bill restores fairness and equal representation for (STATE) and citizens in other states following the law. My primary mission as your United States Senator is to make government work with proven (STATE) solutions that are ready for America. To better inform my decision-making, it is important that I hear the ideas, concerns, and opinions of all (STATE). I appreciate the time and effort you took to provide input on our elections.
